Worship Consulting

(My thoughts.com).

My friend (a worshipper) and I were lip-synching some songs on one of my playlists, few days back. At a point, one of the songs got us into some serious examinations. Then he asked me about my thoughts  on original songs(specs and all that). I shared some with him and decided to also do same here.

Like the name is,-Original songs. And so it should be,-original songs. I understand that the heart cry of every worshipper/leader/director is to do something that will have a connect from his/her personality to their audience. Yes, we wanna release singles, duets, EPs,debuts, albums, music videos.

That is awesome and is expected. That’s why we have producers and studios everywhere.

This being the case, you laying claims to bring an originator of a particular song lyrics and melody is laudable if actually there’s been nothing like them before you. I’m not saying making “already sung lyrics” more creative ain’t cool… Infact,I  love remix! I do remix songs myself…God’s spirit is a creative kinda.

Still on ‪#‎WhyWeWorship‬; I got started this morning during study when I came across some relevancies.

Dearest Worshipper, it’s of great importance that we don’t just get active without a cause. The move of The Spirit of Worship, ongoing in our time isn’t a product of a somewhat, ‘volcanic eruption’.
My dear, to God’s glory, we were  anticipated and heavily expected. The old testament folks, who grasped this revelation wished to be a part of this move.

David saw us coming;

“Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord”. Psalms 102:18.

You see, not that they couldn’t do it. They tried. But all their acts of worship were summed as A SHADOW OF THE REAL THING TO COME. What ever they did was OUTSIDE, VIELED.

(MSG)2 Corinthians 3:9
“…Bright as that old government was, it would look downright dull alongside this new one..”

Funny enough, Luke 1:10 has it that, “when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled WORSHIPPERS were praying OUTSIDE”.

They couldn’t get INSIDE,yet. So, we, still, were coming…

Zechariah, at the birth of his son, also saw us coming;
“to show mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; the oath he swore to our father Abraham,- A CLEAN RESCUE FROM THE ENEMY CAMP, SO WE CAN WORSHIP WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD”. Luke 1:72-74.

The incarnate Jesus spelt out the setting-in of this move to the Samaritan woman at the well;
“yet a time is coming, and has now come…”

Jesus spoke in faith of what was to come, when the promise of the spirit of truth shall become manifest. For he said;
“It is not where we worship that counts, but HOW we worship,- is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit’s help?”

That was it. We were about to be birthed, incubated by the Spirit of worship. Little wonder Jesus told Nicodemus;
“unless a person submits to this original creation,-God’s spirit sweeping over the face of the waters; he won’t have the kingdom(both now and later).
